BNE are artists and producers and business men who deserve to shine on the Global Attack Mixtape Series
Posted by: Scott / Category: ArtistsMany of you may know this Hip-Hop duo from the city of Boston for their East Coast swagger, cocky technique and specialdeliveries. BNE started in the music industry as street team promoters for Def Jam/JMJ and has carried their entertainment career into motion picture work. If you’ve seen BNE perform, you know that their live presence is undeniable and fans have raved about their appearances in several venues throughout the United States. They’ve performed alongside; Fat Joe, Queen Latifah, Public
Enemy, Canibus, KSolo, Red Café, Kardinal Offishall, Run DMC, DMX and others. They truly seem to capture the audiences’ attention, and refuse to perform under any other circumstances. The love they have for the culture not only shines through their music, but also through their expressions and techniques. They have been and will be a force to be reckoned with now and in the future. Not to mention their new found passion for acting (see filmography below).
Brolick Stevenson: The definition of a gritty street scholar with loads of rhyme talents. As a Native Bostonian with Georgia roots, Brolick has ripped the scene with irregular yet witty verses of true reality mixed with morality and perseverance. Fixated with the pioneers of “rap” and the Hip-Hop culture, one can always find some everyday suffering, consequences and knowledge in his delivery and concepts. Brolick has the mind frame of an observant soul, not the demonstrator. He makes wise choices of word play and delivers carefully plotted techniques on each subject. But, on the other hand, he is the pro-active gut-puncher, the wild storm with a mix of charm and game.
B.L.I. (Ben Livin It): Is what u would call an artist, not a rapper. Born in Brooklyn, he has been both surrounded and influenced by music his entire life. His father was a musician, and at a young age he was writing music and playin’ the saxophone. B.L.I. became what nice and smooth would call “a hip hop junkie”. Although influenced by many of the pioneers, it wasn’t until EPMD’s “you got’s to chill”, that he realized how much the hip hop culture made him not only want to listen, but be apart of it. B.L.I. is
creative, gritty, rude and describes the more irrational & out of this world side of the mc. He plots patiently awaiting his epiphany…and once arrived continuously spits pictures for you to follow. The combination of both is what makes this mc so dangerous.
When stewed in the same pot, Brolick & B.L.I. refuse to set boundaries on where they can go and what they can do. Expect a rhyme pattern different from most other artists.
