It’s been a while since we saw any war movie have such impressive aerial scenes as “Red Tails” is showing off. The trailer comes at us from Yahoo, and though it was a long time coming (about 23 years in the dreaming, to be exact), if taking its sweet time to come to theaters is the price we had to pay for those aerial fight scenes to look as gorgeous as they do, then it’s a price we’re willing to pay.
“Red Tails” follows the true story of the Tuskegee Airmen who fought with the Allied forces in World War II. The Tuskegee men were segregated black pilots who were given second-rate planes and missions after they were shipped out into combat. But when a dangerous mission arose — providing safe escort to bombers in broad daylight — the Tuskegee pilots stepped up to the challenge in order to fight for their country and against the racial discrimination that had been holding them back.
The flick stars Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Marcus Paulk, Cuba Cooding Jr, Method Man, Ne-Yo and Nate Parker and is directed by “Treme’s” Anthony Hemingway. “Red Tails” has been something of a passion project for George Lucas, who began developing the idea back in 1988. It wasn’t until 2007 that John Ridley came on board to write the screenplay for the movie, and then the next year that Hemingway signed up as director.

50 Cent spewed more venom on Twitter. The controversial rapper made headlines once again with a series of fiery tweets aimed at his record label.
The G-Unit captain had announced plans to release his fifth album this fall, but is now threatening to pump the brakes. “Man I’m not releasing a album i can’t believe interscope is this f*cked up right now. I apologize to all my fans,” wrote a fuming 50.
His anger is likely related to the handling of his latest single “Outlaw,” which is currently No. 141 on iTunes. “I will work with other artist on there projects but I will not put out another album,” he continued. “They dropped the ball with me one time to many.”
As part of his wrath, he vowed to leak a single off Dr. Dre’s Detox. “I LOVE DRE but I’m putting his next single psycho out tomorrow at 2:00 #SK,” he said. “Your gonna love it its a big song I just don’t think it deserves a great set up sense they can’t seem to get it right when it comes to me.”
Did we ever thank the French for the Statue of Liberty? Someone said, “Thank you,” right? That would be very rude if no one sent a card, or flowers, or anything. Because we’re very fond of our Lady Liberty. And here at SUPRA, we have a special connection to France: it is the home of our European headquarters, located in Biarritz, as well as the home of our European showroom, located in Paris. So as a belated “merci” for the statue, and to commemorate the opening of our Paris store, we’ve created a SKYTOP in the colors of the French flag. The shoe’s upper is blue tumbled leather with red, white, and blue eyelets, the upper has “PARIS” embroidered tonally, the heel applique is also red, white, and blue, there are two different colored footbeds each featuring custom “PARIS” artwork, and they come with an Eiffel Tower hangtag. We’d like to think Rimbaud was wearing a pair of these when he was walking the streets in the city of light and wrote, “Plus léger qu’un bouchon j’ai dansé sur les flots.”1 But he was probably just drunk. This is one of the most limited edition products SUPRA will have ever made available to the public. Strictly limited to 100 pairs (sequentially numbered on the inside of the tongue),
