Posted by: Scott

Brittany Smooch is a hip hop and pop music performer based in New York City. Brittany was encouraged by her mother to translate her experiences growing up in the city into lyrics and gave Brittany Logic Pro for her 15th birthday. Soon after, Brittany began working with her first musical influence, Tony Donelson (AKA Carlos Bling) and recorded a demo. Once completed, Brittany’ s mother took the demo to Los Angeles where she quickly garnered interest from music industry heavy weights. . Two years ago she was discovered by the same person who discovered Ke$ha, Bruno Mars and Ne-Yo and she signed a deal with Warner Brothers. It was then that Brittany teamed up with award winning hip hop writer Earl Hayes, who is currently affiliated with Floyd Mayweather and 50 cents Money Team and whose catalog features Puff Daddy, Gucci Mane, Limp Bizcuit, Keri Hilson, Usher, Lil Jon, and many more. Within a few months of signing however she quickly realized that the deal she had and the recording situation that came along with it was not in her best interest. Artist Spotlight: Live Streetz Messiah

Posted by: Scott

Live Streetz Messiah who’s been deemed by government standards the name Roland Williams Jr. was Born in Jamaica Queens, Ny. At an early age music was being directly influenced by the world and people that surrounded him in the inner city. Raised as the oldest of four in the city of New York with young parents, Live Streetz Messiah understood the perils of being young, black, and part of a deteriorating society way too soon. The untimely divorce of his parents at a young age carried the family to the mean streets of Petersburg, Virginia in the Commonwealth where wealth isn’t common to most black families. With the ambitions of elevation with no guidance the streets were the parents that raised this man. Being a first class example of a statistic every hardship shaped and molded this man into the pioneer we see today. More intelligent than the average moe dude mind is astounding!! Even though he gang banged with bloods, hustled, been in the pen, became a bastard child of a broken man, been wronged by the legal system and the pressures of life period, this man still has survived. Cut from a different cloth this man emulates no other. He is an over comer, perfectionists, over achiever, a conqueror, and has become one of the most intelligent, creative lyrical minds the world has ever seen. If you have ever known someone who could take all of what life has to offer and relay it in a way that overtakes the listener, then Live Streetz Messiah is what the games been missing. NO Gimmick, NO fads just a real emcee with a living testimony that’s going to transform the game of hip hop forever. There is no limitation to is creativity whether it’s changing voices, styles, lyrical structure, or just going in on wax, there is no emcee that can compare. With the belief that there is no honor among thieves, this rider of the divine five is a one man army. He is the one that has been prophesized to save hip hop, and this generation full of gimmicks and fads forever. Life has many different exchanges and this man is the narrator of all that is in between our conception and our demise. Live Streetz Messiah….804’s finest lyricist and soon to be the man who holds the world in the palm of his hand. He is not just an artist, He is a pioneer of this generation. Not the industry, this man is an industry. NO Gimmicks allowed!!!!

Lauryn Hill Addresses Wyclef Book?

Posted by: Scott

Lauryn Hill–in a typically Lauryn Hill sorta way–addressed the recently published autobiography by her former Fugees bandmate (and former lover) Wyclef Jean. While not stating his name explicitly, it was pretty obvious who she was talking about. Even if it wasn’t always as obvious what she was talking about.
“When you are on the other side of liberation, just make sure you are not late. Be careful how you judge, there is a lot of deception out there. A lot of misunderstanding out there. A lot of miscommunication out there. A lot of false information out there. And notice, out of all the people who talk talk talk, who’s the silent one. There??s a lot of chat, bout me¦” “And you know why? Let me tell you why I don??t chat back. Because I know that my brothers and my sisters are often times pawns in a bigger scheme so when they, under pressure, attack me, I love them still. It??s called the high road. Try taking it sometimes.”
“Im not going to play my hand like the suppressive system would have me play my hand. Because I know [about] the oppression that took place in Haiti, and Jamaica, and America, and Africa and Europe. So just be patient. The truth always surfaces and especially, all you black folks out there who have had black mothers who carried you through thick and thin, when the system wanted to call them crazy, just remember that”You know I know Iâ??m not crazy, thats why I can use the word so freely. Crazy like a fox? Ahead of the curve. People don??t like people thats ahead of the curve but unfortunately that??s not my problem.”
