Cazal is pleased to announce the release of its 2014 campaign lookbook featuring world famous director Spike Lee.
Shot by noted New York photographer and filmmaker Armen Djerrahian, his inspiration for this special shoot was the acclaimed cult film director. Both Cazal fans, they brainstormed for the concept and location. Spike mentioned “Fort Greene”, Brooklyn – the quarter in which he grew up that additionally houses his production company “40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks” – would be an ideal fit for the historic brand. The chemistry between both artists was exceptional and the final shots perfectly depict the unique look and feel of the brand.
“All of us at Cazal were thrilled for the opportunity to work with Spike Lee,” explained Beate Obersteiner, CEO. “Aside from his obvious talents, Mr. Lee has been a huge fan of the brand and its history from its earliest days, even featuring the Cazal 616 on the iconic character ‘Mars Blackmon’ which he created for the movie ‘She’s Gotta Have It’. Once he expressed a desire to be involved in each facet of the project, including creatively, we knew the final shots were going to be very special.”
