In the music game, some were destined to play.  RedFox Da Arsonist (a.k.a “RF”) began his life as Edward Joseph Swaby in Brownsville Brooklyn, NY, USA.  He was one of eight siblings to his West Indian parents, Prudence Walters & Edward Leonard Swaby. Growing up with a broken home, money troubles, and a harsh environment, RF learned the hard life the hard way eventually turning his talents loose as an M.C.

Hip hop was all around him in Queens where he moved to, and he felt connected through the history of the land and the family of Hip Hop superstars such as Run DMC. Even when away from his family at a group home, a guard on duty let him meet his personal friends in the game: Pee Wee Kirkland and Vinnie from Naughty By Nature. RF listened to Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang, Master Ace, Nas, Biggie, Da Brat, Tupac, & even The Fugees to which he pulled his inspiration and began free-styling.

After being encouraged by a few compliments by fellow dudes at the local basketball court, RF met up with rappers Teff and Warlock to form Desert Eagles. The producer of the Crystal Lake imprint hooked them up with shows with Jadakiss and Fabulous and backstage passes and met Lil Bow Wow, Lil Romeo, & Lil Zane. In 2001, the group split up.

2004 marked a rebirth for RedFox Da Arsonist with his first solo release, “Who GOD Bless, No Man Curse” selling independently 10,000 copies. 2005 he released “The Industrial Revolution” with somewhat lesser success. In 2006, RF began an onslaught of constant shows at various clubs and venues that all led up to his 2008 album, “IR2, Corporate Conglomerate”. Things started to really pick up, and RedFox has since appeared in magazine and print, got a ringtone deal, performed at the New Jersey Music Conference, performed at Get Your Buzz Up, appeared on WebTV’s 24/7 Grind with Frankie the Boss (which is about to get picked up by Direct TV).

Red Fox Da Arsonist’ latest project is the mixtape series “Welcome To Goonsville Enemy of the State” which can be heard on Dotpiff Links: Volume 2 | Volume 3 .

THE GLOBAL ATTACK MIXTAPE SERIES WANT TO EXTEND A WARM WELCOME TO “JAHN Q. PUBLAQ”.

HipRoc-SoulRag: New Wave, New Genre

JAHN Q.

Music’s new born genre, HipRoc-SoulRag, shows generations today, creativity at it’s’ best. For 2 years and counting, New Jersey artist, Jahn Q. Publaq compiles a collaboration of new age hits with old school classics, blending the familiar sounds of icons; Biggie Smalls, Jimmie Hendricks, Bob Marley, and Sam Cook paying homage to pioneers who inspire him to begin this new wave that supporters follow.
“I am paying my dues like any other artist only in a different way,” Jahn Q. Publaq said.

According to Publaq, the mixture of hip-hop, rock & roll, R&B/soul, and reggae, taps into the four main foundations of music, each exhibiting the makeup of today’s music. Music heads that tend to have an unsatisfying taste in search of a little more to fulfill a musical urge are now able to hear the familiar sounds under one category, all the while receiving a message many can relate to.

JAHN Q. PUBLAQ

The title HipRoc-SoulRag is complex within itself, but gives vivid insight of the artist, Jahn Q. Publaq. Explaining how each genre is a part of who Publaq is as an artist expressing his understanding and passion of music.

“HipRoc-SoulRag explains who I am. I have a Hip-hop swagger, Rock star mentality, Soul in my blood, Reggae in my history,” Jahn Q. Publaq said.

While music constantly evolves, the message still remains the same. Publaq tells the only story he knows best by simply calling it as he lives it, translating his message into a universal language of music. Lyrically expressing his continuous internal and external growth through everyday issues can be witnessed. Publaq touches on topics far from your typical signed artist, portraying an image they really do not live. Focusing on ways to get signed is far from Publaq’s list of goals, but paving his own way to success is his only plan.
“Many artist feed into focusing on what gets them signed. Not me!” Publaq stated. “Looking at the top artist of today such as the Jay-Z’s and Kanye West’s and date back to their path of success, they made a path of their own,” Publaq added.

Now with the Internet as one of the top places to market, Publaq’s new genre can be heard on all popular sites, from Facebook to his own website titled,  thatsmyq.net

Urban radio and TV personality DJ Megatron, who built a career at hip-hop and R&B radio stations from Philadelphia to

DJ. MEGATRON

Boston and told viewers of a popular music TV show “What’s Good,” was shot to death early Sunday, according to his manager and police.

The BET television segment host was killed while heading to a store near his home on New York City’s Staten Island around 2 a.m., his manager Justin Kirkland, known as J. Smoove, said.

Police say the 32-year-old deejay, born Corey McGriff, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest. No arrests have been made.

His manager said friends and relatives had no idea why anyone might have attacked a deejay known for his upbeat, amiable attitude.

“He probably had one of the best personalities around . super-positive, happy all the time,” Kirkland said.

Rising to the on-air ranks after starting as an intern, DJ Megatron began his career at New York’s WKRS-FM, better known as Kiss FM, where deejays remembered him on the air and online Sunday.

He also worked at what was then Boston’s Hot 97.7, or WBOT-FM, and at Philadelphia’s The Beat, or WPHI-FM, according to a bio on his MySpace site.

In recent years, he’s appeared on BET’s popular “106 & Park,” where his “What’s Good” spots took him onto the streets to ask bystanders about topics ranging from sports to “The Five Elements of Hip-Hop.” Viacom Inc.-owned BET had no immediate comment.

Sometimes known as Mega or Mega McGriff, the deejay also appeared in movies including 2005’s “State Property 2,” starring Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash and rappers Beanie Sigel and N.O.R.E., formerly Noreaga.

A father of three, DJ Megatron also devoted time to charitable events on Staten Island, his manager said.

TONY CADILLAC brings AAM Inc. to the Global Attack Mixtape Series!

Posted by: Scott

AAM INC. LOGO

Born from the mind of an ambitious and young 18 yr old, AAM was just an idea brewing up and waiting to take its

AAM Inc.

course. It was not until Anthony “Cadillac” Sisson happened to cross paths with an undiscovered artist that went by the name of “Hex” who shared the same vision. Taking thoughts from mind to pen, Hex started a collaboration with 2 other aspiring artists, G.I. and Lilly whom both gained a musical appreciation for hip-hop in the suburbs of South Jersey. Together they worked on an unreleased single named ‘Escape’ which was a compilation of a home made beat & raw emotions expressing their angst to escape the grasp of the small town of Fennville. From there, the small group became a tight knit family kept together by their passion for music and the hunger for money.

It’s All About Money (AAM), no doubt but from behind the mic the artists from AAM express the struggle of growing up deprived of the finer things in life. Unlike most cliche’ artists spitting about their mass amount of money they’re only dreaming of. AAM raps about the real struggle and hardships of working for it. In the world of music AAM uses cleaver lyrics and raw emotion as their main weapon in the musical draw between other artists.

AAM Inc. CREW

All about money is the new movement to move with. AAM is coming on strong with no signs of stopping, taking over the world speaker by speaker, headphone by headphone. AAM has been, is, and forever will be real and all about the money. In this world of fake words & fabricated feelings, dare to listen to something real.

All about money then, All about money now, all about money forever- Hex, G.I., Lilly, Tony

Juelz Santana Stuido Raided, Juelz In Hot Water

Posted by: Scott

Juelz Santana’s new year isn’t kicking off on a positive note, as news spread earlier today that the Dipset rhymer’s New Jersey studio was raided by police on Thursday (Jan. 20).

Officers entered the premises, dubbed “Santana’s World,” to find guns and drugs present. Two fully loaded 9mm handguns, several boxes of ammunition and marijuana were among the items confiscated. While the surprise visit turned up the illegal guns, Bergen County police were there to arrest Toby M. Raynor, also known as Hynief, an affiliate of the rapper’s Skull Gang set.

The 24-year-old was reportedly taken into custody after selling marijuana to undercover Gang Unit detectives. During a 10-month investigation, Raynor, 24, dealt the drugs on June 16 and July 1, 2010. Raynor is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail.

On the day of the raid, Santana was scheduled to make an appearance on MTV’s ‘RapFix Live,’ alongside Dipset members Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zeeky. The ‘Back To The Crib’ creator was noticeably absent from the show and when host Sway questioned Cam’ron as to his whereabouts, Cam revealed Santana was suffering from an “allergic reaction.”

No word yet on whether Juelz Santana was also arrested in the raid. (The Boombox)

Kese Soprano is Proclaimed as ” An Illmatic MC” by Lady Luck

Posted by: Scott

Kese Soprano

Change was something that Kese Soprano had to get used to at a young age. Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey, Kese started with a curious and mischievous attitude which often got him into tight situations. Due to his mother’s situation, Kese faced his first major change, in moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Maybe it was fate though, as it was here, he began writing daily.

His influences were Wu-Tang Clan, 2pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, Redman, Big Pun, and Big L. When he moved back to New Jersey, Kese began to take writing lyrics seriously.

Kese Soprano Looking Back

He has always been diverse enough to rhyme about anything relevant in his life. From his love for sports, to girls, to the surrounding violence, to his family situation – the subject matter would change often, but his lyrical ability was always strongly present. Proclaimed by Lady Luck as “an illmatic MC”, the Paterson, NJ lyricist is ready to give hip hop the change it needs. Hand and hand with the mission of the Global Attack!
