DJ Desim is a new force in the House/NYC music scene. Dropping the sounds that isn’t easily defined on eager ears, DJ Desim is emerging as a sound to be reckoned with…

Born to a mother who was a ballet dancer and a musician father, Tunisia has the arts practically embedded in her DNA. Raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, she spent her childhood snooping through her Dad’s record collection, playing all the Prince, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd she could get her hands on and her home was always filled with the sounds of reggae, Brazilian jazz, and the emerging hip hop beats of the 80s.

During her childhood in the city, Tunisia connected with her family’s musical roots by joining the Middle Collegiate Church Choir in the East Village, singing in the prestigious St. Bartholomew’s Choir in Midtown and as a teenager attending the LaGuardia Performing Arts High School.

She also started exploring the underground NYC rave and skateboard scene, and found herself captivated by the music, especially drum n bass. Motivated to explore this scene in other places, she moved to San Francisco and found herself getting down to the sounds of Derrick Carter, David Harness, DJ Laird, JT Donaldson, Mark Farina and Miguel Migs. Inspired by the music, it was at this point when she decided to revisit her childhood love for records and start spinning her own house mixes. This is when Desim was born.

DJ Desim’s first gigs were in Vegas at the Red Room and Ra Sushi. From there, she moved back to the East Coast and found herself opening for Lord G, Hector Hex, and Darryl James at Bar 13 in NYC and has been spotted spinning at weeklies, art galleries, store openings, and other special events around the NYC.

Keep an ear out for DJ Desim cause you just might discover that she is the one responsible for turning you out..

Ms. Axtion AKA Gloss Boss

Axtion was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan but resides in Atlanta, G.A. She began writing poetry at an early age of thirteen and continued interest thru performing arts at Wayne State University . Some know her as an Adult Entertainer, where she promotes parties and supplies other entertainers to events and functions all over the globe. It was the year 2006 when Axtion started pursuing a career in the music industry.  Within a short  time frame, she has accomplished a lot and has created a strong buzz in the Southeastern music community by selling 6000 units of her music independently, attending conferences, award shows, modeling, hosting, and performing, showcasing her talent around the country.

“Axtion Girl”, is a super hero cartoon, who was created by herself whose mission is to boost girls self esteem, encourage them to practice safe sex, overcome life’s obstacles and be independent!  Her drive, creativity, work ethic, and marketability are some of Axtion’s greatest qualities.

SOPHIA BROWN

Sophia Brown first got involved in the local entertainment business as a Dance Choreographer in 1986. Her exceptional skills lead to creating dance moves to songs by Dancehall pioneers Barrington Levy, Little John and Michael Palmer but it was a developing relationship with the Jamaica Tourist Board that created an opportunity for her to showcase her music talent in cabaret on what was then called the Appleton Estate Tour, that gave life to Sophia’s dream of becoming an Internationally acclaimed Reggae Artiste.

In 1988, with the support of family and friends, Sophia left her home Parish St. Elizabeth to live in the parish of St. Catherine a short distance away from Kingston the music Capital of Jamaica and the rest of the world.  Beautiful, talented and extremely passionate about her music the 5ft 3” realist, knew then, that every journey begins with a first step and it took her three years to release her first recording, the year was 1991.  The single entitled “Jig Me” and produced by Outa National was a harmonious track that gave Sophia her very first local radio listenership. The song resonated well with Reggae music fans, creating an opportunity for Sophia to perform alongside popular International Reggae and Hip-Hop Artistes Shabba Ranks, Lady Patra, Frankie Paul, Richie Stephens and Doug E. Fresh at a concert called, …. in Bla Bla town, month of that same year.

Sophia who thought she was destined to make music her career had endured numerous setbacks, none of which, however, have deterred her from her dream of becoming an internationally recognized recording artiste. In 1992, Sophia was scheduled to perform on Reggae Sunsplash in the city of Montego Bay, the one and only major Reggae festival held in the island then. Her performance on Sunsplash was well received and probably created the next big step in her career, that of teaming up the renowned Mad Professor from Europe for collaboration.  This must have flung open some doors for the Lovers Rock Artiste as it seemed by this that she was definitely on a roll.  Brown thought she landed a recording opportunity with a company in the Cayman Islands called Strawberry Records which was later sold out to CMI Records in 1995. The agreement was to secure a four-album deal with CMI but all arrangements were forfeited after the company went bankrupt.

Nonetheless Sophia remained focused and formed a company called Music Mecka with colleague Dale Dunkley. Both released a host of singles during that period, namely “Baby Tonight” and “Give it Up” which enjoyed favorable airplay. In the years that followed Sophia took to the road and did several tours in and around the Tri-State area of New York, Arizona and Virginia. She’s been on stage with hip hop greats Snoop Dogg, Lil Kim, and Jah Rule. On her return to the island during summer 2007, Sophia recorded a single titled, “Love You Pure” a Reggae/R&B track inspired by a friend’s personal experience in relationship. “I was inspired to write that song after listening to a friend’s own personal experience. It was a beautiful song that could have easily become a Valentine’s Day Classic” said a smiling Sophia Brown.  A video for the single came shortly after, which eventually found its way on the local E-STRIP Video Charts and peaked at number 3.

Sophia went on to record and release other singles under her Music Mecka Label before taking the decision to record an album.  April 2008 the album entitled “The Spotlight” was officially released at a press launch held at the ……

One of the most successful attributes to Sophia Brown’s career came when she landed a Distribution deal with Universal Records.  She had gone to Los Angeles to shoot the video for a hot new single she had plans to drop early 2010 when she met …… who introduced her to…….. They spoke about working together and on her return to Kingston a decision was reached.  After careful consideration Brown’s distribution deal with Universal Records was now transfixed and the single became available in all major U.S. music outlets including Starbucks, Best Buy, Walmart and Sprint.

At the turn of the decade Sophia Brown put in place, certain measures to ensure her position in the local market.  These involved sustaining and capitalizing her brand and music, this after a successful promotional campaign in 2009 that saw her “Weak to you” single soaring to the top spot of several local charts.   Sophia Brown’s effort included channeling the music to a younger audience, the release of a new single title, “Gimmi That Good Love” and video to secure a place on the local charts.  Brown met and spent a day with students at the Alman Town Primary school Kingston in February where she was invited to give a motivational speech, she was also nominated for the local EME (Excellence in Music and Entertainment) Awards “Best Female Vocalist” category while Gimmi That Good Love single found its way at the top of the CVM Hitlist Video Chart.

Harmony Le’Fly Jones, was born in 1990 and at the age of ten, his mother and him moved to Richmond Virginia, then a year later they moved up to New Jersey and moved in a little city called Irvington, which is a urban town that borders other urban cities such as Newark and East Orange. Between elementary school, Harmony took up instruments like flute and trumpet classes in Madison Ave School.

His middle school years, he went to Myrtle Ave in Irvington, then transferred to Walter.O. Krumbiegal (W.O.K) in Hillside NJ. When he got to Hillside High School he found the love of music and his passion for singing. His senior year he did his first concert and swept the ladies away, grasping the name “Harmony”. Now at the young age of 20, he is looking forward to hitting the R&B & POP scene hard with his music, lyrics, and harmonization.

His main goal is to take R&B where it never has been before with a new R&B movement called “Futuristic R&B”. Now its soon to be global in The Global Attack Mixtape Series! He is currently signed to “Entaprise Entertainment” and managed by, “Entaprise Talent Agency” owned by “Harlem 6″ member A.G.R Harrison.

Scott E. McDowell also known as, “Elavated Scott”, owner of “ELV8 Solutions” hails from Baltimore , Maryland. Since, he has lived all around the country. North Carolina, Florida, California, New Mexico and is currently living in New York City. Scott has worked tenaciously to create and seize every opportunity that has come his way. Scott’s grind has allowed him to prove his abilities and strong work ethics to clients. He left a mark on the industry and put himself in the position of high demand.

Scott career began in advertising where he worked with some of the biggest media outlets in the world, including CBS Sports Radio. Scott then went on to pursue a career as a booking agent/entertainment consultant where he has come to work with some of the biggest acts in the history of the music business.
